Summer Holiday Week 1 » RYA Stage 2 - Full

Skills improver course for juniors who have completed Stage 1. The course follows the RYA Youth Sailing Syllabus and works towards Stage 2.

They will build on and further the skills they learned in Stage 1 to make them more competent and knowledgeable sailors as well as learning new skills such as how to right a boat from capsize, how to control the speed of their boat, how to get out of irons, gain knowledge of the 5 essentials and understand the basic rules of the road. Teaching takes place on the water, on land and in the classroom depending on the group and weather conditions.

Participants will need to bring along their Youth Sailing Scheme logbook but a certificate will be provided if the course is successfully completed. . Boat, wetsuit, spray top & buoyancy aid hire is included.

Pre-course requirements: RYA Stage1, age 7 to 15.
